The Yeast

Yeast is the microorganism that makes the magic happen, transforming sugars into alcohol and CO₂.

The Hops

Hops give beer its characteristic bitterness, as well as aromatic notes that can range from herbal and floral to tropical fruit.

The Malt

Once malted and roasted, the grains become the main source of a beer’s colour and its sweet or toasted flavours.

The Water

It typically makes up about 90% to 95% of the beer. Its mineral content and acidity play a key role in shaping the type of beer being produced.
